What is your idea of a perfect day?
For me, a perfect day is a sunny day spent with friends and family. Whether I’m on the beach, going out for a walk or hike, or gathering around for a picnic, a sunny day lifts the mood. When the sun shines, a new day begins, new challenges arise, and new memories are made with the loved ones. I enjoy ending the day watching the marvelous sunset celebrating with my loved ones.
What is the most interesting place you have travelled to or would like to travel to?
As a first-year architecture student, studying architecture wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to experience architecture; therefore, I planned a trip with my friends to Paris “the city of light”. The city of Paris became increasingly known as a center of ideas throughout Europe, inspired by poets, philosophers, engineers, and scientists. I enjoyed visiting Architectural Landmarks in Paris which increased my interest in Architecture. From a very industrial architecture of Le Centre Pompidou by Renzo Piano to an Organic Architecture of Foundation Louis Vuitton by Frank Gehry to French Gothic Cathedral de Notre Dame de Paris by Manuelle Gautrand, Paris has remarkable examples of different architectural styles from every period. Besides architecture, we enjoyed visiting parks, museums and trying the best French food in town.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy spending time in nature, either going for a simple walk or hiking. I like capturing all the wonderful moments of beauty with my phone and sometimes with my camera which triggered my interest in photography. I also like to travel and discover other cities, other cultures, and new types of food. Moreover, I enjoy cooking and baking, my mother has always been an amazing cook and I feel she is my inspiration.
What is the best meal you have ever had? What is your favorite recipe/meal?
The best meal I have ever had is Lebanese Mezze. Lebanese food is about variety and sharing, it is perfect for gatherings and sharing food with everyone seated at the table. The Lebanese food says much about the Lebanese people and their love for reunions. Dishes include hummus, tabbouleh salad, fattouch salad, baba ghanoush, falafel, labneh, kibbeh, warak enab, all served with Lebanese Pita Bread. Lebanese Mezze is eaten at a pace that allows for discussions, enjoyment, and laughter during the meal.
