Just minutes from the University of Colorado at Boulder, this luxury senior housing project involved the renovation of an abandoned hi-rise flanked on either side by the addition of new 3-story wings. The project houses a mix of Independent Living and Assisted Living residents and offers a package of high-end amenities such as dining, fitness, aqua therapy, recreation and spa. A generous use of timber and stone elements gives the community a distinctly Colorado vibe. Our firm led the State Assisted Living licensing process that was even more complicated than usual due to the wood frame over podium construction of the new wings. The units located in the existing tower had to be designed with special dexterity given the  close spacing of existing concrete columns.
