This lively Affordable family housing community is one of several projects we have completed in West Denver. The site slopes significantly from west to east. We exploited this slope to classify the lowest level as a basement and densified the building without upgrading the Construction Type. The bold bright southwestern color scheme of the building enlivens Alameda avenue. The project supports a 25 kw solar panel array on the roof.

Located directly across from Coors Field, this project is the epitome of a ballpark neighborhood loft building. Two story townhomes march along Blake Street and soak up gameday energy as a roof deck overlooks the first base concourse. One of the first Type IIIA projects in Denver, this building was one of the tallest conventionally wood framed buildings in the country when it was built. The LEED Silver project was featured in Multifamily Executive for its design elements catering specifically to the Gen Y demographic.

We won a competitive process to design this marquee Denver Housing Authority project located along West Colfax Ave in the St Anthony’s Redevelopment. The project features 176 units of affordable senior & disabled housing. The ground floor of the building houses synergetic uses like a Clinic, a Senior Activity Center, and a Dialysis Center. An expansive 6th level roof deck provides 360 degree views and plenty of outdoor activities. This project designed on Healthy Living Principles won the 2020 Colorado Housing Eagle Award. Vida has also won the 2021 Colorado NAIOP Community Impact Award, and the 2021 National Excellence in Construction Award at the Associated Builders and Contractors Convention in Dallas, TX.

A Transit Oriented Mixed Use Affordable Housing project located across from the Evans Station was conceived as a reinterpretation of a historic Denver brick warehouse for Medici Communities. We utilized distressed bricks, angled bricks, & ghost windows to make the building appear as if it was a turn-of-the-century warehouse. Winner of Housing Colorado’s 2014 Eagle Award and the Mayor’s Design Award.

This second phase of the Broadstone Gardens project has 108 dwelling units over a shared parking garage. This long building extends the whole length of a long City block and uses undulating parapets and curved walls to carry forward the Hundertwasser theme of the first phase. A densely vegetated roof deck on the north end offers spectacular views and a linear swimming pool anchors a green alley and features aquatic plants. Biophilic motifs pervade throughout both phases of the development and create a unifying theme.

This was the first phase of Broadstone Gardens, a master planned project that spans a whole City block in the Cherry Creek East neighborhood. This building houses 76 dwelling units over a commercial space with shared parking below. An Alliance Residential Company project originally conceived by Mickey Zeppelin, the undulating and organic lines of the building draw inspiration from the work of the Austrian artist Hundertwasser.
